Biocode’s team has grown by one member when Markus Varkki started as Sales Manager. 

Markus is a talented sales professional with hands-on experience from diverse business development positions. In his previous journeys before Biocode, he has contributed to the growth of several Nordic and Asian startups operating in the Fintech and E-Commerce industries. At Klarna, Europe’s highest valued private fintech start-up and one of Europe’s largest bank, he served in various sales and team leadership roles focusing on the growth within the Nordic region. In Southeast Asia, he supported the market’s largest E-Commerce enabler to build strong partnerships with key channels and helped a multi-brand distributor to digitalize their business. Markus is a success-thriving representative with zeal to grow businesses by utilizing data, market knowledge, and understanding of buying behaviours across various channels and markets. Markus’ expertise strongly supports the acceleration of Biocode’s growth both at the national and international markets. 

When living in Asia, the amount of air pollution and waste opened my eyes to the significance of the environmental issues we are facing. The private sector plays a crucial role in creating a better tomorrow  the key is to find scalable solutions that make the business case for solving sustainability challenges like climate change. I find my work here at Biocode meaningful as I’m able to combine my passion for business development and support our clients in making their products climate smart by implementing Biocode’s solutions.
